Integrated DAS (iPole) TDAS G5 Data Acquisition System

The TDAS G5 module by simply removing a Perspex cover is able to be quickly fitted and removed from the TDAS G5 docking system which is internally fitted into the FTMP, thus providing a truly portable crash hardened data acquisition system. Each G5 module has 32 digital/sensor input channels and through the specially designed docking station can provide 10/100Base T communication, the full technical specification can be found later. With the DAS being integral to the Pole test and so close to the force transducers it provides less possibilities for signal failure or corruption during a test. As well as removing all the umbilical coils of wire that are usually visible and vulnerable as they exit the crash wall particularly at the set up stage of a crash test. All the G5 docking stations are connected directly to the TDAS Plus mini distributor which is powered by the TDAS plus uninterrupted power supply, which has 6 minutes of backup power in case of power failure past the abort stage of a crash test. Each Module can automatically configure the load cell wall via the ID chip with in the load cells, and can carry out automatically integrity checks including shunt calibration and no-load zero checks on the crash wall prior to each test.
