Although the TDAS G5 was originally designed for use as an in-dummy DAS, customers and DTS engineers quickly realized that it was also the perfect solution for on-vehicle and catapult data acquisition applications.

The Challenge: Current 32 channel systems weigh about 4 kg and require approximately 30 cm2 of space to mount in a test vehicle. Test laboratories increasingly challenged by the need for higher channel counts have been finding that they can not run hundreds of data channels on small vehicles with these systems.
